Margie Akers M.Ed. — Director of Children Of Joy! Preschool
I was blessed with becoming director of Children Of Joy! Preschool in May 2007. I am originally from Louisiana where I worked in the public school system as well as the private sector of early childhood education. My family and I moved to this area in 2001 and I have worked in Early Childhood Christian Education since that time.
COJ! is a loving and caring environment that provides children with an exciting approach to learning. The experiences and activities allows for all areas of development to be addressed in order to meet the unique needs of each child. Curriculum is literature based and daily activities are designed to be developmentally appropriate. Christian education is provided through bible stories in the classroom as well as weekly chapel

Staff
COJ! currently employs 25 teachers, co-teacher, and teacher assistants. Many have been here for four or more years. Sixteen have college degrees and/or Child Development Associate Certificates. All are loving and caring.
Each staff member receives a minimum of 15 continuing education hours per year and all hold valid CPR and First Aid certificates.
Our staff truly believes in the team approach when working with children and believes that parent communication is essential.
