Spirit of Joy! Lutheran Church

Outreach

Outreach at Spirit of Joy is centered around the consistent Biblical message that God cares for the physical well-being of all of us. We believe that our ministries should start with personal contact and should be built around relationships in our congregation, in our community and in our world. We believe that the one everlasting miracle performed by Jesus was the miracle of love and we look for ways to be a part of that miracle.

Global
  • Peru Ministry works with our sister church in Lima, Peru (Congregation Belen).  For more information on the churches in Peru.

  • Lutheran World Relief supports the programs of LWR, which seeks lasting solutions to poverty and injustice and in doing so, compels U.S. Lutherans to put their faith into action, working with programs such as Advocacy to provide a voice for the powerless and Fair Trade to bring fair prices for coffee and handicrafts to the producers and artisans not the middlemen.

  • Quilters - Quilting group making quilts that are sent to Belen, our sister congregation in Lima, Peru, and to Lutheran World Relief, where they are distributed to refugees and other people in need in various countries. These are gifts of love that provide both real comfort and a message of God’s caring.
